July 2026, Xi’an. Under the scorching summer sun of the ancient city, a more intense test was taking place inside the workshop of Xi’an Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. A delegation from the Burkina Faso National Grid travelled all the way to conduct a rigorous Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) on the solar streetlights and poles supplied by the company.
A Promise Across Miles, Built on Trust
Burkina Faso, a landlocked country in West Africa, has long struggled with weak power infrastructure and insufficient energy supply. To improve urban public lighting and enhance the quality of life for its citizens, the Burkinabe government has been actively promoting solarbased lighting infrastructure in recent years. Against this backdrop, Xi’an Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd., with its solid product strength and rich export experience, won the trust and order from the Burkina Faso National Grid.
Founded in 2010, Xi’an Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. is a hightech enterprise focusing on the R&D and production of renewable energy products, covering power transmission and distribution equipment, LED streetlights, photovoltaic power generation, and more. Its brand SolarLitePro (ONEGREEN) has been deeply engaged in the solar lighting industry since 2010, with 16 years of manufacturing experience and products exported to more than 50 countries and regions worldwide.
Rigorous Acceptance – Being Meticulous About Every Detail
“Be rigorous in execution workmanship. Be meticulous about every process.” – This motto, hung in the workshop, is not only the company’s own standard but also a true reflection of this FAT process.
On the acceptance day, engineers from the Burkina Faso National Grid, checklist in hand, conducted a thorough inspection of every luminaire and every pole. From external dimensions to material thickness, from sealing performance to electrical parameters, no aspect was overlooked.
In the pole inspection area, the team verified each pole’s serial number one by one. The poles stood neatly in rows, each marked with a unique number – from 1 to 1,357, a total of 1,357 poles. The inspectors checked wall thickness, weld quality, galvanised coating thickness, and flange dimensions against the technical documents. Any tiny imperfection could not escape their eyes – just as the motto says, being “meticulous” is not about being overly critical, but about a shared commitment to quality.
In the luminaire testing area, every fixture underwent strict functional tests. The letter “W” (for Watt) appeared repeatedly in the test records, indicating verification of rated power versus actual output. From 60W to 240W, different power levels were tested one after another. Illuminance, colour temperature, colour rendering index, ingress protection rating – every parameter had to meet the standards.
Even accessory items such as cable ties were not overlooked – their material, tensile strength, and weather resistance were all checked. As the saying goes, “details determine success or failure.” The quality of a single screw or a cable tie can affect the longterm stability of the entire streetlight system under the harsh natural conditions of Africa.
Quality as a Bridge Connecting China and Africa
This multiday FAT was not only a product quality check but also a microcosm of deepening ChinaAfrica cooperation in the green energy sector.
During the inspection, the technical team from Xi’an Green Energy had indepth exchanges with Burkinabe engineers. From the selection of solar PV panels to battery configuration, from control system logic to installation and maintenance precautions, both sides enhanced mutual understanding and reached consensus through dialogue.
SolarLitePro offers a wide range of solar streetlight configurations from 60W to 240W, with customisation options tailored to the specific needs of different regions and projects. In highlatitude areas, modular designs allow customers to choose larger PV panels and batteries. This flexibility and professionalism are exactly what make Xi’an Green Energy Technology a trusted partner for international clients.
Striving for Excellence, Going Global
As the acceptance work drew to a close, the Burkina Faso National Grid team gave high praise to the product quality and manufacturing processes of Xi’an Green Energy Technology. All 1,357 poles, several hundred luminaires, and auxiliary equipment passed the inspection. These products will soon be shipped across the Indian Ocean and around the Cape of Good Hope to West Africa, bringing light to the streets of Burkina Faso.
From Xi’an to Ouagadougou, the journey is not just about covering thousands of miles geographically, but also about the leap from “Made in China” to “International Quality.” As stated on the SolarLitePro website: “Our mission is winwin cooperation.” This is not merely a slogan, but a genuine commitment behind every project, every inspection, and every streetlight.
The night sky of Burkina Faso is about to be illuminated by green energy from China. And this “meticulous” FAT is the best testament to that quality assurance.
